On February 6th, 2017, “Beijing International Science & Technology Cooperation Base on Technology Transfer of High-effective Utilization of Resources and Control of Hazardous Substances” applied by Basel Convention Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific/Stockholm Convention Regional Centre for Capacity-building and the Transfer of Technology in Asia and the Pacific (BCRC China / SCRCAP), was approved by Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission. A total of 25 bases with 4 types including International Innovation Park, International Joint Research Center, International Technology Transfer Center and Pilot International Science & Technology Cooperation Base were approved at this time. The base applied by BCRC China/SCRCAP was one of the International Technology Transfer Centers.
Supported by the School of Environment, Tsinghua University, “Beijing International Science & Technology Cooperation Base on Technology Transfer of High-effective Utilization of Natural Resources and Control of Hazardous Substances” will focus on scientific research, talents cultivation, technology development, and science & technology industrialization, ect. It aims to build an open and highly effective international cooperation base in the field of environmental protection, greatly improve the capacity on technology transfer and international cooperation, and establish a group of professional and experienced research team. The base will also provide a high-level platform for BCRC China / SCRCAP to implement its core functions, including exploring more channels for international cooperation, enhancing international science & technology cooperation and promoting technology transfer, etc.
